"No vision and you perish; no ideal and you’re lost. Your heart must cherish some faith at any cost. Some hope, some dream to cling to, some rainbow in the sky, some melody to sing, some service that is high."

QUESTION - What is my vision of me as an enlightened millionaire?

READING - Cracking The Millionaire Code

Visualize me as an Enlightened Millionaire.

What is a vision?

What is a visionary?

Why is understanding these two questions so important to living a successful, happy, satisfying and abundantly bountiful enlightened life?

Most people want to live the Have-it-all life, but . . . most don’t experience it. Instead, trial outdistances triumph, losers outnumber winners, failure outweighs success, and depression "outdooms" joy. Unfortunately there are more wannabes than "arebes" in this world.

Daily, people are stuck in a time warped rat race. Minute by minute time crunching and multi-tasking dominate most people’s every action. Rushing, stressing, pushing the pressure points of getting it done, going here or there, doing this, that and everything are ever present. And . . . being who people were destined to be is not evidenced very much.

Take a deep breath, relax. Life does not have to be that way.

Why?

Because some people do Have-it-all, thus it has been done, thus you can do it, too. It is possible.

The only difference is that the Have-it-all’s vision of themselves and what they perceive as their contribution to the world is much different from the Have-nots.

You see, most people think, "What can I get, today?" rather than. "What can I give, today, this very minute, and in my lifetime?"

Let me ask you this.

#1. Do you work to produce a quality product or a remarkable service which is a blessing to someone (someone you might not even know or even like)? Is that blessing the drive that makes you do your best? Is it the force that joyfully bursts from you to create a productive, practical, effective, and effortless idea, a way and means to produce that blessing?

Or

#2. Do you work to produce a dollar to buy milk, bread or wine for you and your family, to put shelter over your head, a car on the go, and maybe a night out at the movies now and then?

Or

#3 Do you work to keep up with the Smith’s? To buy your kids designer backpacks and tennis shoes? To gain the sexy image that a new sports car might give you, or to put money in the bank for a rainy day or the kids college or retirement?

Which #1, #2, or #3 is your vision of you, your work, and your worth?

Now, let me be the first to say that visions of having material things are powerful motivators. Yes, they are! And let me be the first to say that having material possessions, a large home in a beautiful neighborhood, great schools for your kids, good food, stylish clothes, a new car, and abundant travel are all wonderful to experience. Yes, they are!

It should be noted that when asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" the vast majority of youth today have one answer, "Rich!" so they can buy the things that make them look rich. Kids formerly answered that question by saying, "a doctor, a teacher, a photographer, an astronaut." And maybe someday soon they will answer with words such as: "peaceful, happy, smart, inventive, caring and good." Where do kids get their values? What have we been teaching them?

However, something seems amiss if having material riches is the supreme desire and the entire focus of your vision of you. And that missing piece is the puzzle piece of life that most people do not find because they are so busy doing rather than appreciating who they are and what they have to give.

Take a moment and look at the real wealth in you that you express everyday. Look at those qualities that you want to express. Are they peace, tranquility, energy, vitality, brilliance, happiness, joy, kindness, and caring?

If you were so down and out that the only job you could get was mopping floors in a public building, would you mop those floors with disdain, shame, embarrassment, a sad heart, depression and lethargy? Or could you express precision, care, diligence, exuberance, happiness and pride in doing a good job and by giving a heads-up smile to each passer-by?

I heard it said once that until you can wash dishes with a smile, you’ll never get to do the lofty, well-paying, and fun jobs. Well, I don’t know if that is 100% true, but it strikes of humility and gratitude which are two qualities that are stressed over and over again in spiritual books of enlightenment.

So envision yourself from the viewpoint of what you give.
Be a visionary that sees the big picture of life, living, working and playing. See what needs to be done to improve mankind and the world. See that picture with you in it.

Is it the "poor me" or the "rich me" vision that dominates your vision, today?

The activities in your To Do Checklist will help you see the true you.
