STORY -

GREED OR NO GREED?

Wars have started because of greed. The struggle between the haves and have nots goes on and on, century after century, civilization after civilization.

What about corporate takeovers? Are they for the good of the people, the good of the employees, the good of business or even the good of the corporations? No, they are for greed of a few.

Politics? Are politicians elected to office because they are the best the country, state, country or city can produce - or are they the most connected to fat pockets?

And education? Is a strike good? For whom? For the kids? For the community? For the school district? For the teachers?

And charities and religious organizations, too? Are they exempt from greed? Seems like we hear of exorbitant salaries and perks in these arenas, same as in business, politics and within any organization.

In all these, isn’t "pay me first, foremost and forever," paramount?

This doing-business-as-usual attitude has to change if we are going to conduct the business of running our governments, our businesses, our schools, our charities, and our society in general more effectively with less start up, fall down and out of business.

This is where you stand. It is a crossroad of change. And change is not just creeping in; it is rushing in with gusto. The business climate is unsettled, not too secure, and very uncertain of its status, state and survival. We predict that business as usual will no longer be usual. The warm tides of spirituality, kindness toward mankind, and wanting to add up to more than what’s in the bank account or what type of car is in the driveway will overcome greed.

Giving-back-as-usual might well be our new paradigm in business. Check out the exercise for this lesson and see if you agree.

Joseph Smith saw the father and son as seperate resurrected beings and Stephen did also see God the Father and son Jesus Christ as two seperate beings?
